Cremation

When a person chooses cremation, Lake View Cemetery offers a permanent location for burial, allowing families and loved ones to visit the gravesite whenever they wish.

If you choose cremation for your loved one, this does not mean that you cannot have a traditional funeral service. Conversely, the traditional funeral service can be held before or after the cremation, depending on your personal preferences. Some people prefer to have their loved ones viewed in a casket for the service, followed by the cremation. Or you may decide to have the cremation first and arrange to have the funeral at a later date.

Following a traditional funeral service, you may bury the cremated remains or place them in our columbarium. Headstones and grave markers may be personalized and placed at the gravesite.

Covering 31 acres, this Collin County Perpetual Care cemetery overlooks the tranquil waters of Lake Lavon and is the final resting place of Revolutionary War Hero John Abston. As such, Lake View Cemetery includes the historic Abston-Old Bellew Cemetery, recognized by the State of Texas with a Historical Marker in 1988.
